Major Nelson has posted a new article on his blog giving users in the U.S. a chance to test out a new disc format for the Xbox 360. Now we are assuming this does not mean it is a blu-ray disc due to the fact that Xbox 360's are not built with a blu-ray drive. But this is instead most likely a new compression tool that Microsoft is testing out for future game releases. This also allows the user to test out the new dashboard update.
If you want to sign up follow this link. You will receive a free copy of Halo Reach which we assume is on the new game disc. Make sure you read everything carefully while signing up and read Major Nelsons post before you consider signing up.
Also note, you might experience some trouble after updating your system to the beta dashboard. Previous system updates have caused problems when trying to communicate or play games with Xbox Live users not in the beta.
