Doctor! Doctor!

What game can you surgically remove glass debris from body organs and have innocent civilian lives rest in your hands for the Nintendo Wii? If you didn’t guess it, it is the Trauma Center series. So far they have come out with two Trauma Centers, Trauma Center: New Blood and Trauma Center: Second Opinion, but now they are about to add a third. If you didn’t hear the news from E3, then you will now, Atlus (Trauma Center creators) is coming out with the third game towards the Trauma Center series, it is called Trauma Team.

Let’s face it. Nobody is going to play this game for the storyline. As a matter of fact, most people, including myself, just skip through the storyline and don’t even pay attention to it. People would rather not read every detail and watch the boring 2D storyline go by. People play this game to dig through people’s organs using tools that they can’t even enunciate [ih-nuhn-see-eyt] just to fix what’s wrong. They play this game for the adrenaline rush from preventing a patient’s death. And to me, it’s the closest to a surgeon as I want to be, probably as I will ever be, so I just do it for a good time. The thing about this game is you can work all around the hospital. You can take the role as a general surgeon, diagnostician, EMT, orthopedic surgeon, endoscope technician or medical examiner. I know, big words, but that means that you’re not stuck doing one thing throughout the entire game like the previous ones, you have a choice.

This game also has something that is new to the Trauma Center series. You will be able to choose from six doctors: Hank, Maria, Tomoe, Mira, Gabriel, and CR-S01 (No, it’s not one of R2-D2’s friends, this doctor was a convict. Those are prison numbers.)

This is just a little sum of the action. There is still yet to be a release day on Trauma Team. The previous games scored well with IGN, getting an 8.5 and an 8(out of 10.) I can’t wait to see what Atlus has in store for us. Good luck Doctor!
