The past year space on the Xbox 360 disc has began to become a problem. Games have been using up more than what the 360 had available and thus disc swapping has begun. While disc swapping has always been around, it is becoming a larger problem for the 360. With it's rival system, the Playstation 3 having a blu-ray drive which has discs that can store up to 50gb of date compared to the 360 which only has 9. Titles such as L.A. Noire and the upcoming Rage are games that have had to use disc swapping in order to make the game run on the 360.
This made me worried that that the sequel to one of my favorite video games, Elder Scrolls Skyrim, would be over one disc. It is now confirmed that the game will be on only one Xbox 360 disc.
In response to a tweet about the Xbox 360 version possibly being to large for one disc, Pete Hines, VP of Bethesda, responded saying "Fits on one 360 disc." Its great to hear that Bethesda will be able to fit this massive game onto one small disc.
